Taman Ahimsa Retreat returns to the basics by using primarily natural and recycled materials in the architectural design which is evident with the use of bamboo, coconut, recycled iron wood, tamarind and teak woods.  The traditional use of “alang-alang” (grass roofing) also brings one back to the original Bali style.  The enchanting garden and ponds are with indigenous tropical flora and fauna with waste-water bio-systems that treat and recycle grey water for irrigation. There is on-site composting, recycling and waste management with a low to no chemical ozone system swimming pool.  Any carbon footprint from this villa is off-set by sustainable tree planting too. Therefore, too, this is a smoke-free environmental abode.
